Details:BASIC FUNCTION:  The Programmer develops and implements software and programs that provide technical solutions to business problems in order to promote efficient operations.  All duties are to be performed within the guidelines of the Gaming Operation’s policies and procedures, Internal Control Standards and objectives. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:1.      Develops and prepares technical software to meet user required specifications set forth by the company.2.      Creates design specifications in conjunction with user preferences and requirement specifications.3.      Maintains both existing and new software systems to ensure that system processing programs continue to meet company needs.4.      Assists in scheduling, determining manpower and estimating cost/time required for completion of company IT-related projects.5.      Assists in the identification and resolution of production and/or system applications problems related to the use of company database system, software or utilities.6.      Monitors the operation of computing and communications systems and/or facilities for acceptable levels of performance.7.      Performs diagnostic tests to isolate sub-optimal system performance and failing equipment components.8.      Performs installation and operational verification of new systems and facilities.9.      Maintains equipment inventory and preventative maintenance schedules.10.  Cross-trains in other technical systems functions.11.  Troubleshoots hardware and software problems, providing hands-on or vendor-supplied repair of components as appropriate.12.  Performs other related duties capable of being performed as requested by Management.
